1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using https://top1autotransportation.com/(the 'Website'), submitting a quote request, scheduling transportation services, or otherwise conducting business with Top1 Auto Transportation LLC ('Top1 Auto Transportation,' 'Company,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our'), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
2. Description of Services
Top1 Auto Transportation LLC is a federally licensed freight broker registered with the FMCSA under Motor Carrier Number MC# 1772916 and USDOT# 4486673. As a broker, Top1 arranges vehicle transportation services by matching customers with independent, licensed, and insured motor carriers. Top1 does not directly operate the trucks or trailers used for transport.
3. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes provided through our online calculator, by phone, or by email are estimates based on distance, vehicle type, transport type, pickup date, and current market conditions. Quoted prices are not final or guaranteed until a licensed carrier has been assigned to your specific shipment.
The nationwide average cost to ship a standard vehicle is approximately $1,100–$1,300 for medium-distance routes (700–1,200 miles). Short routes under 300 miles typically start at $200. Long-distance cross-country routes typically range from $900 to $1,400 for open transport.
4. No Upfront Payment — Payment Policy
Top1 Auto Transportation does not collect any upfront deposit or payment from you at the time of booking. Your payment is only collected once a licensed carrier has been assigned to your shipment.
- Credit Card or Debit Card — processed securely through Stripe
- Cash on Delivery (COD) — paid directly to the carrier driver upon vehicle delivery
- Zelle — payment sent to +1 (916) 407-9455
Personal checks are not accepted.
5. Discounts
Military Discount (10%): Active-duty military personnel, veterans, and military spouses receive a 10% discount. Proof of military status is required at booking.
Multi-Vehicle Discount: Customers shipping two or more vehicles in a single order are eligible for a multi-vehicle discount. Contact our team for current pricing.
Referral Discount: Customers who refer a new customer who completes a paid shipment will receive a credit or discount on their next shipment.
6. Cancellation Policy
Please see our full Cancellation Policy at /cancellation-policy. You may cancel your order at any time before a carrier has been assigned, at absolutely no charge. Once a carrier has been assigned, a cancellation fee may apply. A $100 no-show fee applies if neither you nor your designated representative is present at the scheduled pickup.
7. Vehicle Condition and Preparation Requirements
- Fuel level must be between 1/4 tank and 1/2 tank at pickup
- All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle
- Remove all loose or external accessories (bike racks, spoilers, custom mirrors)
- Retract or remove any antennas
- Ensure the battery is charged and the vehicle can be driven on and off the trailer
- Disable all alarms
- Provide a spare set of keys to the carrier driver at pickup
- Document the vehicle's condition with photographs before pickup
8. Prohibited Items
- Personal belongings of any kind
- Firearms, weapons, or ammunition
- Illegal substances
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or explosive devices
- Perishable items, food, or beverages
- Pets or live animals
- Currency, jewelry, or other valuables
9. Insurance and Coverage
All carriers in the Top1 network are independently licensed by the FMCSA and are required to maintain active cargo insurance and liability insurance. In the event of transport-related damage, the carrier's cargo insurance policy is the primary source of coverage. Please refer to our Damage & Liability Policy (/damage-policy) for complete details.
10. Bill of Lading and Vehicle Inspection
IMPORTANT: Any damage must be noted on the delivery Bill of Lading at the time of delivery, BEFORE you sign the document. Once you sign a delivery BOL without noting damage, you are certifying that the vehicle was received in satisfactory condition.
11. Delivery Timeline and Delays
Estimated transit times provided by Top1 are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed delivery dates. Delays may occur due to weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns, road closures, traffic, accidents, acts of God, regulatory inspections, or other circumstances beyond Top1's control.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TOP1 AUTO TRANSPORTATION LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC SHIPMENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, both parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Sacramento, California. CLASS ACTION WAIVER applies.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated 'Last Updated' date.
